If you are receiving Social Security Disability benefits, they will often continue until and unless your condition has improved to allow you to return to work (a determination made by Social Security). However, one instance in which your benefits will change is when you attain full retirement age. Once you reach full retirement age, your disability benefits will effectively be switched over automatically to retirement benefits and you will no longer receive disability benefits. However, until and unless you reach retirement age, you may still be eligible for disability benefits.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your eligibility for disability, or any other disability related questions, our firm stands ready to serve your needs and answer your questions at any point throughout the application and appeals process.
