Why is this blog important for you?

By Gallon, Takacs, Boissoneault and Schaffer of Gallon, Takacs, Boissoneault & Schaffer Co., L.P.A. Posted in General Practice on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.

If you have been following our blog or have just found us for the first time, you will see that the intent of our web presence is to impart information about rights and issues impacting workers in Ohio. This information applies to the broad spectrum of employees across Ohio.

As an Injured Worker you will find information about your rights as individual in Ohio. Our Bill of Rights postings can help you to navigate some of the most basic and essential issues that impact your rights. Other postings can give you insight on specific issues that may impact your ability to file a workers compensation claim or to discover that you have a compensable claim.

As attorneys concerned with the rights of working men in women in Ohio, this blog provides you with current information on pertinent law and rule changes that could dramatically impact the rights of working Ohioans.

As attorneys concerned with state politics and the work of your legislators and elected officials, this blog will provide you with insight as to the political climate and prevailing political ideologies that drive decisions in Columbus. Political changes and appointments can have dramatic impact on the tone of the Workers’ Compensation system. In our 50+ years of practice , we have seen the dramatic impact that a shift in politics can have on the working men and women of Ohio.

I would venture to guess you may find yourself fitting into more than one of the aforementioned categories. This punctuates the intent of our blog – to share essential knowledge and information that impacts the working men and women of Ohio. Chances are you or someone you know has been injured at work. In a time when the workers’ compensation system is so blatantly employer friendly, having someone who is familiar with the system can be vital.
