Group Legal Services
In today’s complex world, finding a competent attorney can be an intimidating task. Many people do no not seek the services of an attorney because they do not know anything about the lawyers in their area and because of concerns about the costs of hiring counsel. As a result of not getting good solid legal advice or representation, people put their best interests and those of their family members and loved ones at risk, often signing a document and not understanding its legal significance, or failing to prepare for critical end of life decisions.
At Gallon, Takacs, Boissoneault & Schaffer Co., LPA we believe that legal services should be available and affordable to all people. With that in mind, through our Group Legal Services division, we have entered into agreements with several Labor Unions throughout the region to provide certain free and discounted legal services to the members of those unions. Today, there are approximately 30,000 individuals and families that have available to them through their unions various services including, but not limited to, free legal consultations on any topic, will and living will preparations, and house closing document review. Other services are provided at a discounted fee. Each plan is unique and if you are a member covered under a plan, you may obtain a copy of the Summary Plan Description detailing the legal services available to you by contacting your Union or our office.
